Jo Ann has
over 20 years of corporate experience in project management, marketing communications
and event planning. In 2003, Jo Ann left
the corporate world to start more than marketing.

Over the
years, Jo Ann has honed project management skills by outlining clear goals,
responsibilities and expectations for managing internal and external teams to
seamlessly integrate and successfully work together. Her ability to complete projects on time and
within established budget has been demonstrated in the banding and launching of
12 new products and the introduction of 2 new value-added services based on Six
Sigma principles to assist customers in streamlining processes to work more
efficiently and cost effectively while meeting FDA guidelines and
protocol. Jo Ann has developed strategic
partnerships with necessary suppliers to extend and complement her own
expertise in the areas of market research, banding, graphic design, copywriting,
web development, video production, PowerPoint presentations, photography, logo
development and public relations.
Prior to
starting more than marketing, Jo Ann held the position as Director of Marketing
Communications for a Johnson & Johnson Company where she was responsible
for developing and managing all communications programs for four business
units. Jo Ann managed a staff of five
direct reports and an internal creative team of four, as well as all external
resources; an advertising agency, market research provider, copywriters,
multi-media supplier, exhibit house, lead fulfillment and meeting planning
company. She had direct responsibility
for a budget of $4million and indirect responsibility for a budget of $10
million and was a key member of the management team responsible for worldwide
corporate and product branding.
For 17 years,
Jo Ann served as Worldwide Marketing Communications Manager for the two largest
business units of Akzo Nobel’s diagnostics company. While in this position, she was responsible
for integrating the marketing teams of five companies joined together through
acquisition. Jo Ann is very familiar
with developing programs for internal acceptance to change, embracing new opportunities
and letting go of the familiar. As the
marketing liaison with international affiliates, Jo Ann implemented a project
development process to manage timelines and budgets that facilitated open
communications to all team members and management. She related directly supervised a full-time
staff of four, served as purchasing agent for all marketing collateral related
materials and was responsible for identifying, selecting and contracting all
outside resources as needed to complete marketing programs.
With her own
varied skill set, breadth of corporate experience and network of resources, Jo
Ann is poised to manage diverse, multifaceted programs that deliver positive
results without prolonged execution cycles.
